I wish we said “fancy” in America. As in, “I fancy you.” It’s such a more agreeable term than “I have a crush on you.” What’s a crush? Like, I AM A BOA CONSTRICTOR AND I AM GOING TO IMMOBILIZE YOU WITH MY MISPLACED AND OBSESSIVE AFFECTION. “I fancy you” is like, you’re so shiny and glittery and I just want to put you on a shelf and look at you for a while ‘cause you’re fancy.
shipping is NOT purely about sex
shipping is NOT believing two characters are already in a relationship
shipping is NOT wanting the show/book/movie to be purely about your ship
shipping is NOT automatically ignoring the actual overall plot
shipping is NOT a game
shipping IS, however, personally interpreting two characters’ feelings for each other as romantic and wanting their feelings to come to fruition so they can be happy
In my head, all of the fandoms are part of some massive, crazy family.
The tough, but loving and protective older brother:
The crazy kid brother, who still loves playing pretend:
The vaguely psychotic middle child that the parents keep locked away in the attic:
this makes me happy
The feeling you get when everything has been resolved in an episode
and there are still 15 minutes left

if you want to play on that playground you do that
if you want to dress up and go trick-or-treating you do that
if you want to go to the movies and see monsters university you do that
